Maryland football program had a field day on Wednesday.

It’s National Signing Day, a day in which many recruits pick where they will play with for the upcoming season. The Terps made the best use of this day, in school history no less.

This type of improvement is essential to the future of the Maryland football program. Head coach D.J. Durkin is known as a master recruiter. If he can translate his recruitment of blue-chip athletes into wins, it will make Maryland football relevant once more. Bringing the team back to it’s winning ways helped last season, although the team finished with a losing record (6-7 overall, 3-6 in the Big Ten). They did reach a bowl game, however.

They also had a few late commitments to the program in Tahj Capehart and Corrdarian Richardson Jr.
