Breaking news: Mark Trumbo is returning to the Baltimore Orioles on a three-year contract.

We were worried we would have little to talk about heading into the latest episode of our podcast BMore Wired, but the baseball gods were looking out for us. We learned about the new deal with Mark Trumbo about 20 minutes before going on air. We are looking forward to more Trumbombs at Camden Yards at such a discounted price for the reigning home run leader. We congratulate the 2017 MLB Hall of Fame class and go through each former Oriole to be on the Hall of Fame ballot – Mike Mussina, Sammy Sosa and Arthur RhodesĀ to name a few. There are a few names that you may have forgotten or did not know even played for the Orioles. We end the baseball talk by giving our varying opinions on the return of Jose Bautista to the Toronto Blue Jays.

We switch it to our 7s next, where we touch on random topics across sports. Here is what we get into this week:

  1. Antonio Brown goes live on Facebook
  2. Michael Bennett’s tirade on a reporter
  3. The debacle that is the New York Knicks
  4. Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers
  5. Siena vs. Rider scuffle leads to one coach shaking air hands
  6. Oregon’s strength coach is suspended one week into job
  7. The San Diego Chargers have had three different logos in a week

There is not much news on the Baltimore Ravens at this time, other than Mel Kiper has released his initial mock draft and has them selecting Michigan safety Jabrill Peppers. Sign us up as fans of this pick. We also are just a week away from the reveal of the name and uniforms of the new Baltimore Arena Football team. The NFL Conference Championship games are this weekend and we give our predictions on the upcoming matchups. There is one thing we can all agree on as Ravens fans: GO NFC.

We end the show with a short discussion about the Terps, who are once again ranked No. 25 in the country. Mark Turgeon deserves more credit as Maryland basketball is second in conference wins since joining the Big Ten Conference.

We will know the two teams in the Super Bowl next time out and will go over some of the prop bets that we like for the big game. Until then, cue the music.
