BMore Sharp: Free Sports Picks for February 23

BMore Wired Sports Picks Baltimore Orioles logo

We pleased to bring you the second edition of BMore Sharp, where we offer our free sports picks and bad beats.

The first night of BMore Sharp saw us go 1-2 in our sports picks, with St. Bonaventure’s win over St. Joseph being our lone victory. The crushing defeat was Maryland not only not getting the cover, but being blown out at home, 89-75, by Minnesota. We cannot classify it as a bad beat (unless you are a Terps fan), but we certainly thought it was going to be easy money.

Oops.

We believe in the motto”scared money don’t make no money.” We will continue to fight through the losses by picking more games today. We do have local action to place a wager on tonight so here our picks for Feb. 23:

Total record: 1-2-0
NCAA Basketball: 1-2-0
NBA: 0-0-0

All odds come from ScoresandOdds.com and are accurate at the the time of this post.

UTEP (-1) vs. Florida Atlantic – 7:00 p.m.

This game is a pick em on some sites, which is still good value for UTEP. While the Miners barely escaped with a one-point overtime win in their last meeting, Texas – El Paso has won four of its last five meetings against FAU. Also working in their favor is that UTEP is currently in the midst of a 9-0 ATS run. I love to back a good money train so keep riding the Miners while they are hot.

Towson vs. UNC-Wilmington (under 155) – 7:00 p.m.

UNC-Wilmington is one of those teams to keep an eye on once it is time to start filling out those brackets. You just never know what team is going to show up every night. The Seahawks have scored over 100 points in six games this season, which is the reason why this line at 155. However, it was a 76-67 score in the meeting against Towson earlier this season, and these two teams have combined for a total over 145 just once over the past five seasons. While betting the under is not as much fun to cheer for, take the money.

Knicks vs. Cavaliers(-10) – 8:00 p.m.

These are two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum as one looks to make its push for another NBA Finals appearances, while the other has become the laughingstock of the league. The Cavaliers have not just beat the Knicks in the three meetings this season, but has a 32-point win in the Big Apple and a 29-point win in Cleveland already. Even without Kevin Love, the Knicks are no match for LeBron James and the Cavs.

That is all we got for sports picks for today. After today, we will be out of our small hole and back in the green. Feel free to praise (or complain) our sports picks on Twitter at @BMoreWired.
