Maryland Basketball: Oklahoma St Reaction, Howard Preview

Here is the reaction of the Oklahoma State win and preview of the game against Howard from our Maryland basketball season ticket holder.

Holy shit what a game on Saturday.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to watch the whole game because I was highly intoxicated at a family friend’s wedding. The more the Terps got down the easier the bourbons went down. I was following along the best I could, but before I could blink they were down 12.

Once the wedding was over, I jumped on the trusty Comcast app, covered one eye with my hand to avoid seeing double and sat my fat ass down on a hightop in the hotel lobby bar and proceeded screaming as the Terps made a run down the stretch. What a finish and what a comeback. Again, everything was fuzzy as I was heavily medicated with booze.

I am almost glad I only caught the tail end after looking at some the numbers in the box score. The Terps went 4-for-22 from 3 and for you non-math guys that is 18 percent. I would have lost my mind watching them throw up 22 three’s.

And they lost the rebound battle again. They really, really need to get on the boards because teams like Purdue and Wisconsin are going to own the glass if nothing changes. What’s done is done and how can you bitch too much about a win like that.

I will tell you this, this team has something special where you can never count them out of a game. These late game heroics are going to show up late in the season and I can’t wait.

The Terps square off against Howard tonight at 9 p.m. on ESPNU. Howard comes into Xfinity with a glamorous 1-5 record. They stink and Terps should roll. Howard does have 6-foot-4 guard, James Miller, who is averaging 18.8 a game. Whatever, doesn’t intimidate me. Terps are laying 19 and they will cover this game (I hope). And for the record, the Terps stink against the spread and I am sucker, so all is right in the world. I’m taking the Terps laying 19.

P.S. I still can’t believe that over didn’t hit in the Oklahoma State game. Also, was wrong on every college football game. It is only up from here folks!
