Episode 21 – Terps Wild Comeback

Episode 21 is dedicated to Maryland basketball’s big win over Georgetown, some Baltimore Ravens talk and our NFL picks.

It has only been two games, but Maryland basketball has been a roller coaster ride already. After barely beating American last week and down by 7 points against Georgetown with a minute to go, it looked as though the Terps would not be as strong as we thought. But the freshman played big and Maryland escaped with a huge win. We brought on Barstool Banks to talk about the comeback and also asked about the two football players – Lorenzo Harrison and D.J. Turner – being suspended.

We dive into our 7s which includes some potential names for Baltimore’s new Arena Football team. I absolutely rip into Jurgen Klinsman and the play of the US Men’s National Team, talk the new College Football Playoff rankings (You can find Nick Larichuita’s post on the new rankings here), and give our opinion on the MLB awards. Put Zach Britton in.

We end the show previewing the Ravens vs. Cowboys, which will be a battle of the top rushing offense versus the top rushing defense. Dallas has never beat Baltimore and I feel that Tony Romo’s return will make Dak Prescott a little more nervous. The Ravens need their young guys to make an impact and it is time for Breshad Perriman to live up to his first-round selection.

We end the show by giving our picks for the NFL this weekend. Scott is absolutely murdering me so far in our picks. He hit on 10 games last week, while I am sitting with just 6 wins after two weeks of doing this. That probably explains why I am getting hammered in the book as well.

Next week’s show could be a somber one with the Terps playing St. Mary’s and Towson so hopefully the Ravens give us a win on Sunday. Until next time, cue the music.
