BMore Sharp: Free Sports Picks for February 24

BMore Wired Sports Picks Baltimore Orioles logo

Here are our free sports picks for February 24, and since we are such degenerates, we included a Spring Training game to wager on.

If you have stuck with us for the first two nights of BMore Sharp, you are sitting in the green. We went 2-1 last night, with the Towson/UNC-Wilmington game going over 155 for the only loss. Now, let’s start this weekend by making some money.

We do not discriminate against any type of bet here, including Spring Training games. We will always include a local team in this column and what better way to welcome back the Baltimore Orioles than with a winner.

Friday is not just pay day at the job. Here are our winners for February 24:

Total record: 4-3-0
NCAA Basketball: 3-3-0
NBA: 1-0-0
MLB: 0-0-0

All odds come from ScoresandOdds.com and are accurate at the the time of this post.

Baltimore Orioles (+135) vs. Detroit Tigers – 1:05 p.m.

Here is my theory on this game: first Spring Training game of the year and we are barely going to see any of the big name players. This is not like the regular season where a pitching matchup matters so why not roll the dice on the O’s when they are getting +135?

Dayton (-2.5) vs. Davidson – 9:00 p.m.

Dayton is another one of those mid-major teams that does not get a lot of national recognition, but could make some noise come March. They are currently tied with VCU atop the Atlantic 10, who they play in their next contest. That game will not matter if they overlook the Wildcats. The Flyers have won seven straight games and will leave Davidson with a victory, giving us a win also.

Brooklyn Nets (+10) vs. Denver Nuggets  – 9:05 p.m.

The Nets are a real bad team. For all the years that the Philadelphia 76ers were getting dogged for how bad those teams were, this Nets team is worse. But they are actually getting some value as a double-digit underdog against a Nuggets team that will be playing on back-to-back nights. Brooklyn will have fresh legs in their first game after the All-Star break and is 5-0 ATS vs. Denver over the past three seasons.

Yes, we are taking all road teams today, but where we will take the easy money wherever we can get it. Feel free to praise (or complain) our sports picks on Twitter at @BMoreWired.
